These Orange Walnut Energy Bites are the perfect snack! They take five minutes to make, they’re super delicious, and they’re easy to transport. I just made a batch of these last week to take with me when I went out of town.
I love these Orange Walnut Energy Bites because they’re cheaper than Larabars or RXBars. 😉 Although I love both of those brands and I don’t mind supporting them, I am NOT made of money & I can’t afford to buy bars every day of the week.
Of course, nuts and dates aren’t cheap either, but these homemade bites are more cost-effective than their storebought counterparts. If you have a food processor, you can blend them so smoothly that you’ll barely be able to tell a difference between them and storebought bars. If you don’t have a fancy Kitchenaid, don’t worry. Other blenders still work really well . . . you might just have a few problems getting your bars to stick together. On the whole, however, they should be fine.
Once again, it’s been a few weeks since I’ve posted. I’m prepping posts ahead of time now to try to keep up with one a week, so hopefully this won’t happen again. I’m in the midst of a bunch of college visits and scholarship competitions, so it’s been super crazy recently. Right now, I’m out of town for a scholarship audition, but I’m flying home on Monday. Then, I’ll leave for a scholarship competition on Thursday. The following week, I have two competitions that are back-to-back. The week after that, I’m going out of town for spring break. I’ll photograph any interesting food adventures during my various travels & share them if they’re interesting! Right now, most of my activities include frantic studying and running when I can (which is mostly at night).
Nighttime running has scared me for a long time, but I went for two back-to-back night runs last week & enjoyed them both. It was definitely an adventure! My mom thought that someone would abduct me, but I got home safely.
Once I got home, I made more Orange Walnut Energy Bites because I was hungry. 😉
