These Lemon Strawberry Kombucha Mocktails are the perfect drink for early summer! They’re super healthy, but they still taste sweet and refreshing. They only take five minutes to make, too!
I’ve toyed with the idea of a kombucha mocktail for months now, but I didn’t get around to it until a few weeks ago! I am not 21+ years old, so I cannot drink alcohol. I think these Lemon Strawberry Kombucha Mocktails are a great alternative to alcohol. Not only do they look like real cocktails, they taste great and they provide gut-healthy probiotics! As I mentioned when I posted these Cranberry Lime Mocktails, you can add alcohol to these if you want. I have no idea what type of liquor would taste good in these, so I’m afraid that decision is up to you. (They’re perfectly fine without alcohol, though.)
As I mentioned above, the kombucha in these mocktails is wonderful for gut health! We (meaning my mom) make our own kombucha at home, so I actually flavored my own kombucha for this recipe. Although you can easily buy flavored kombucha at a store, I’d encourage you to try my method because it’s so fun! Just pour some kombucha into a jar and add fruit of your choice. Then, refrigerate it overnight. I’m sure blueberries, apples, peaches, etc. would be great. I made strawberry kombucha for this recipe, and it turned out so well! The kombucha actually turned red!
We make ginger kombucha at home, and it’s kind of similar to GT’s Gingerade Kombucha. To make this, just follow the process for fruit kombucha but substitute sliced fresh ginger for the fruit. It’s so good!
To make these Lemon Strawberry Kombucha Mocktails, I just mixed my strawberry kombucha with a little lemon seltzer water and ice. That was it! I also added strawberries for garnish. These mocktails are so simple (I mean, two ingredients . . . it doesn’t get simpler than that), but they’re incredibly refreshing! The temperatures are climbing quickly at my home, so I think I’ll have to make another batch of these soon. You should too! *wink*
p.s. This recipe is also vegan, vegetarian, and Whole30!
