The Best Paleo Hot Cocoa . . . Ever.
While this recipe makes two servings, the cocoa is rich enough to divide into three or four servings.
full-fat coconut milk
pure vanilla extract
flaky sea salt
Whisk the coconut sugar and the cocoa powder together in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat. “Toast” the sugar and cocoa for a few minutes to deepen the flavors.
Add the coconut milk and almond milk to the saucepan. Whisk vigorously until no lumps remain.
Add the vanilla and sea salt. Cook, stirring frequently, for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cocoa is hot and steaming. Serve with (Paleo) marshmallows, if desired.
