These Bagels & Lox Deviled Eggs are absolutely delicious! Not only are they creative and tasty, they are Paleo and Whole30. They’re the perfect party appetizer, because they look gorgeous but take almost no time to make. Do yourself a favor and whip up these deviled eggs — if not for a party, then just for yourself!
I love these eggs! I came up with the recipe last week, and I made it on a whim. Luckily for me, it turned out great! These eggs are pretty foolproof, so I’m not too surprised that they didn’t flop (Although I’m really clumsy . . . I could probably burn a salad or something. It was a great stroke of luck that these eggs didn’t turn green.).
So, let me explain the whole “Bagels and Lox” thing. I thought that smoked salmon would be pretty tasty on top of deviled eggs, and it turns out I was right! I also thought that a dash of Everything Bagel Seasoning would amp up the “bagel” theme . . . and what do you know, I was right again! I’m not a huge fan of smoked salmon, but I’m okay with it in this situation.
I mean, come on. Isn’t that pretty?! (Obviously, dill is a must-have for maximum flair and style.) They say we eat with our eyes, and they (whoever they are, I have no idea who said that) are right! I mean, not literally . . . that would be weird.
Okay, moving on. We eat with our tastebuds too, so it’s a good thing these deviled eggs taste good! I could not stop eating the filling while I made it, so I’m surprised I had enough to fill all the eggs. Don’t judge me. You’ll do it too, assuming you make these Bagels & Lox Deviled Eggs. Which you should 😉
On a completely unrelated subject, my school’s prom is this weekend. I’m not *really* excited to go because school dances aren’t my speed (I’m more of a stay-at-home-and-bullet-journal-and-eat-chocolate-and-do-homework kinda girl). But you know what, my friends wanted me to go with them so I’ll go, gosh darn it! Ugh.
If you’re a middle schooler who’s really excited for high school dances, don’t be. There is approximately a 274.89% chance you will get a headache from the loud (trashy) music and the flashing lights. Getting dressed up and going out to dinner is fun, but the dance is not.
Although I’d rather stay at home and make more pretty concoctions like these Bagels & Lox Deviled Eggs, I’m not going to be an old Scrooge and ruin the evening for my friends. Do me a favor and make these deviled eggs for me!
And can we take a minute to appreciate these photos? That sounds really vain and attention-seeking, but I promise I don’t mean it that way! I just really like these photos, and I hope you do to!
