Hey guys! Who’s excited for the holidays?
I am! I know it’s early, but I’ve already made my holiday baking list! And no, not all of these treats will be Paleo . . . and that’s okay! The most important thing to do this holiday season is to spend quality time with friends and family. Food should bring us together, not tear us apart — that’s why I’m not nitpicking over every little detail of my diet. That said . . . here are all the cookies/desserts I would like to make with my family this year!
Peanut butter blossoms. My favorite!
Gluten-free bizcochitos. Kind of like Mexican snickerdoodles.
Walnut tassies — my mom loves these!
Seven layer bars . . . seven layers of decadence (which I probably won’t get to eat because I think my mom is making them with wheat. Oh well . . . I mean, it’s not like we’re running out of ideas here.)
Gingerbread men. Duh. Last year, my sister and I made decorations with dried cranberries, shredded coconut, and chia seeds. it was so fun!
Speaking of gingerbread, these overnight gingerbread cinnamon rolls (with GF flour) will make an appearance on Christmas morning at our house.
These Dark Chocolate Cranberry Magic Cookie Bars are going on my list for sure! I need some cranberries for a New Year’s Eve recipe . . . hint hint . . . so I might as well put the leftovers to good use in these delicious-looking bars!
Peppermint bark! We’ve never tried to make this before.
Snowball cookies. Again, this will be something new.
Soft-baked chocolate mint chip cookies with GF baking flour. I’m so excited for these! Chocolate chip cookies are perfect for any time of year . . why not the holidays? I’m thinking this recipe, this recipe, or this recipe.
This drool-worthy gingerbread cake with caramel cream cheese buttercream for Christmas day!
That’s all for now! Thanks for reading, and happy holidays! I’ll be back next week with more winter-y recipes. 🙂
